First Online Training Session Completed within GreenHarvest

The first online training session of the GreenHarvest Training of Trainers programme was successfully completed on 2 June 2026 with the participation of project partners and trainers from different countries.

The session was delivered online by the TRIEBWERK team and focused on the foundations of regenerative agriculture. Participants were introduced to the origins and history of regenerative agriculture, different definitions of the concept, and its connection with soil health, climate change, biodiversity and sustainable farm management.

During the training, participants explored why regenerative agriculture has become increasingly important in recent years and discussed how farming systems can work in cooperation with nature rather than against it. The session also addressed key issues such as greenhouse gas emissions on farms, carbon credits, soil fertility, and the role of research in understanding current knowledge gaps.

The training created an interactive learning space where participants could reflect on existing agricultural practices, ask questions, and prepare for further group research tasks. As part of the follow-up activity, participants were assigned small group tasks to analyse country-specific agricultural contexts and develop short presentations.

This first online session marked an important step in building the capacity of trainers within the GreenHarvest project. The knowledge gained during the online preparation phase will support the upcoming practical Training of Trainers activity and contribute to the development of future educational materials on regenerative agriculture.
