Why Training of Trainers Matters in GreenHarvest

Within the GreenHarvest project, the Training of Trainers activity plays a key role in ensuring that knowledge on regenerative agriculture reaches farmers, adult learners and agricultural stakeholders in an effective and sustainable way.

Regenerative agriculture is not only a technical subject. It requires a new way of thinking about soil, water, biodiversity, climate resilience and sustainable farm management. For this reason, trainers and agricultural professionals need to be equipped with both updated knowledge and practical teaching methods.

The main purpose of the Training of Trainers activity is to strengthen the capacity of partner organisations and their trainers. Through this training, participants will improve their understanding of regenerative agriculture practices and learn how to transfer this knowledge to local target groups in a clear, practical and accessible way.

The training will focus on important topics such as soil health, water management, agroforestry, carbon farming, climate-resilient agriculture, cost-efficient farming practices and green entrepreneurship. These topics are directly linked to the needs identified during the project’s preliminary research and needs assessment process.

Another important aim of the Training of Trainers is to create a common learning approach among project partners. By bringing together trainers from different countries, GreenHarvest supports the exchange of experiences, local practices and innovative ideas. This cooperation will help partners develop stronger educational materials, training videos and local pilot activities.
